First time Jag Owner...1987 XJ6!
My name is Mike. I live in Kentucky and bought my first Jag, an almost pristine 87 XJ6. All I can say is there is just something magical about these cars. There's no words to describe it. Here's few of my You might be a Jag owner if...... statements....this says it all
You may be a Jag owner if....
1. You get up at 5am on a Saturday morning to just drive your Jag, no reason needed.
2. You got up late the night the night before and went to your garage just to polish the wood and chrome on your Jag. And your wife has no idea why you would do such a thing in the late hours...in fact, she swears you are a 40 year old with alzheimer's
3. When you go to the store, you take the longest route possible because you want to spend Quality time with your car
4. Looking at your car can cheer you up, no matter how bad your day is
5. You actually felt is was appropriate to make the "perfect mix" of music for your Jag, because not just any old music will do...

In all seriousness, these cars are just amazing. We have 2 other cars that I wont even drive anymore. My next purchase will be a low mileage 95-97 XJ6, to replace my 2007 Toyota Camry
Look forward to speaking with all of you. I never understood why Jaguar owners took so much pride in their cars until I bought one....now I fully understand. When you own a Jaguar, you own something special. Its more than a car

Welcome to the forum Mike,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I've owned and driven Jaguars for over forty five years but can still relate to those sentiments!
The music mix link won't open - you must have it set as 'personal' .....
Follow this link XJ40 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ40 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the USA Southern MidWest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-southern-midwest-ar-la-ms-ky-tn-al-67/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

I will redo the mix. It wouldn't let me post because of some copyright things.
I have a question. My front tires are wearing inside. Do you think this would be due to the bushings, or ball joints? Maybe Both? It does have a bit shimmy when you get up around 80

Tried to upload the 87 Jag Mix again. I used Enya to bridge some of these, and it works about pretty good. Since its an 87 Jag, I have some 80s style stuff on here. The music is all over the board, because I pretty much like everything except Country music

Tyre wear on the inside can be caused simply by excessive toe in but is more often due to wear in suspension bushes and/or ball joints.
The shimmy could be a direct result but these cars are also very sensitive to wheel balancing.
