Default First time Jaguar owner

Hi All,

I'm kind of a do it yourself mechanic. I learned how to rebuild cars 40 years ago and my last project was restoring an Ferrari Testarossa. An engineer by education and now own my own company. A friend had an old 1997 XJ6 that he gave me for some beer money. I joined today because when I joined Ferrari Chat I met a lot of people from around the world as I figured out how to restore the car and now have become somewhat of a decent mechanic on that car. I'm hoping the same will hold true here as I try to sort this car out. Looking forward to the new group of car enthusiasts.

The same will indeed be true here, Tom. It won't be very long before you're a pretty good Jaguar mechanic too!

Welcome form ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum. When I was a second year apprentice (printer)I ran a print run of Testarossa numbered prints which was by far the coolest thing I had printed at the time, still got one of the waste sheets on my wall.

A late 'Welcome' to Jaguar Forums from me Tom.

I've been away driving my Jaguar across Europe and had no internet access.
