Picked up my first Jaguar to replace my aging 1993 BMW M5. I got a black 2005 Super V8 with 50k miles. While the car needed new tires, air filters and a new air suspension compressor, it is largely a joy to drive so far.

The differences between my 1993 and a 2005 are beyond description.

I live in Northern Baltimore County, MD, USA

Out of curiosity, did you ever consider the E39 M5 as a replacement? I also like that style very much and the performance is fantastic. Unfortunately, my wife does not drive manual transmissioned cars. So now I am looking at XK/XKR style cars where automatics are available.

I did not consider the E39 because my experience with the E34 was hideous. From what I read, the E39 experiences a lot of oil leaks, not all that different from the E34.

I'll get pictures up soon!
