Forgot to post my hello!
Hi Everyone!
I feel pretty silly not having noticed this section of the forum after I registered...
I figure it's never too late to introduce myself! My name is Andrew and I live in the Detroit area. We are also known as pot-hole city, which does not bode well with our low-profile tires!
I've been an XJL Supercharged owner for about 8 months now and I absolutely love the car! Comfortable, addicting power, great sound, and plenty of room for the car seats . This forum has been unbelievably helpful in the time I've been on it and I look forward to being an active member of this community. I hope to connect with many of you, especially any of those in the southeast Michigan area.

Looks like you have some connections with performance mods, which I'd like to get to at some point. Here's a thread I posted with a few questions - seems like some forum members are a little more knowledgeable than others https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...pgrade-162220/ . Looking for a power upgrade, mostly.
Any advice you can give would be much appreciated! Any recommendations?

Also, I bought the car used from a woman over in San Diego. She was an older businesswoman and took really good care of the vehicle. I use it as my daily driver here in Michigan, and I feel bad using it in the snow and the cold when it's been used to California sun for the last few years.
It's Ultimate Black Metallic with the polished Kasuga wheels and the Jet interior with the Ivory headlining. The steering wheel is softgrain leather, it has the Carbon Fiber Trim package (which I love) and the Bowers & Wilkins 1200W sound system. Very unique car since there are literally NONE around where I live (Ford country).
My only concern with the car so far is how it can get some gremlins here and there. Random electronic glitches every now and then - nothing major. Seems like a fairly common concern though.

Hi Andrew!
I have the same car as you, except in Lunar Grey. Mine also has the jet interior with ivory piping but with wood & leather steering wheel and wood trim instead of carbon fiber. I also have the rear picnic tables. I've owned my car for four months now and have enjoyed it immensely, but have to agree with you about some of the random electronic oddities. Nothing that has lessened my enjoyment of the car, but annoying nonetheless. Like the other British automobiles I've owned (Jaguar X-Type and a Rolls-Royce Silver Spur), it has its quirks! Enjoy!
