Default Frisco TX newb! 98 XK8

Got my baby last November and found this forum while researching an issue with the top. I've got a black 98 XK8, and am totally in love! I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences as time goes, and learning lots from the good folks here! Thanks in advance. Now, if I can figure out why my bloody top has started acting up on retraction (most of the time), I'll be happy until the next niggling little issue pops. *grin

Welcome.

Take a peek at the XK8 Tech section, and in particular the stickies at the top.

There is a roof hose rework that I have heard of, so maybe that is in your immediate future.

Thanks Grant! I've perused the forum a bit before posting, and the first item on my to-do is to add fluid. The pump seems low. It's strange, in that it will go up without issue, but suddenly it stopped going down. I can see (with the allen wrench plugged in) that the top latch tries to open, but it's as if it doesn't make it all the way! Adding a bit of pressure manually causes the top to go on and open. I'll keep reading before I actually post yet another message there, since there seem to be several that are many pages long!

I Love BLACK convertibles, not to mention how I feel about the Xk8, my Next Jaguar.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
