front end noise
i have a 2007 jaguar XJ8L. a year ago i had jaguar of huntington install new air bags in the front end. right after i got it home i began to get a message on the speed-o that i had a "front suspension fault". I had a local service man check out the front end and he also showed me that there was a no worn parts. i called jaguar and asked about the warning message. they replied that it had nothing to do with the air bags. i lived with the noise(like something bottoming out) only on the drivers side front for a while. i finally took it to jaguar and the advised that it was the front sway bar, links and bushing,which they replaced and returned the car to me. the noise was still there. back to jaguar and they said the tighter a panel and gave it back to me. well you guessed it.....still the same bottoming out noise when i go over bumps with the front left side(driver) side. any ideas?

I had a persistent thumping on front passenger side of my 2010 XKR, replace sway bar bushings when I did the front shocks and noise persisted (though other noises and bottoming out disappeared). Yesterday afternoon, picked up my car with new control arms installed and have only driven the car a few miles so far, and it seems to have eliminated the noise. Today I will be driving it more and will purposely go over cracked pavement (where it made the most noise) and test it out. Hope you find your problem, it drove me nuts.
