fuel and A/C problems in swFL
The cliff notes of my story go like this I'm a Cadillac guy I got my first Cadillac when I was 15 and have been driving them ever since (I'm 33 now). Our Family car is a Cadillac Escalade and that is what my wife drives. We moved to Florida from Ohio and I sold my junk Dodge and my project 1972 Cadillac convertible because it cost more to bring here than they were worth. After I got to Florida I needed a car so I looked for a cheap car on Craigslist and I found a 1986 Jaguar XJ6 for $500 it didn't run but it was a no spark problem so I knew that should be an easy fix and it was kind of. The ignition module was bad and so was the pickup coil. The module cost all most as much as the car so I thought I would take apart the box that contains all the ignition module parts and try to put a GM HEI module in it. I was surprised when I found that Jaguar beat me to that. Inside the ignition module box was a $20 GM part. I didn't get that lucky with the pick up coil. I put a few new hoses on it too. So now I joke about it because the interior and the body are nice and it runs OK that I have a three quarter thousand dollar British luxury car. Now I need to fix the fuel tanks the drivers side leaks somewhere might be just a line. Also the A/C compressor does not run but there is pressure. Does anyone have a diagram of the fuel lines for two tanks? Where are all the valves and pumps and how does the fuel return to the correct tank? Where should I start on the A/C wiring? I am starting to like my Jaguar and would like to make it nice. Any help from Jaguar people would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
