Default G'day from Australia

G'day from NSW Australia.
I first started to have an interest in Jags when I was a kid listening to my older brother and parents discussing them passionately, mainly raving about the E types. Later on when I was doing my apprenticeship, my supervisor used me slave (apprentice) labour to help rebuild a few of his 6 cylinder jags when things were quiet. I always lusted over his 12 cylinder Jag which I never worked one and always wanted one myself one day. Many years down the track I found a friend who was restoring his Daimler 12 Cylinder and helping him with the engine rekindled my interest. Now that I am looking for a new family car, a new Jag would be the perfect opportunity for me to finally own my own Jag so I will be starting with a new XE.
Later on I would like a fun toy to play with, not sure whether it will be a big lazy V12 or maybe a sporty little thing. I will see was I come up with from getting ideas in this forum, but I think a fun fast toy would be good for a start.

Welcome to the forum cr500,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X760 and the Australia - NSW forums so there's no need for links to them from me.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome.

A V12 is a must, once at least.

Exactly.
I have always wanted an old school, sporty Jag and have always wanted a V12, so I would say this is what I will aim towards. I am not in a super hurry so I will study up and see what takes my fancy.
