Default Gday from Melbourne

Hello... yesterday I picked up a 1966 S type Jaguar which has been gifted to me by a client. This car was a project car of her husband but sadly he passed away in 2008 and the car has sat in the garage unfinished.

The owner had started to convert the running gear to an XJ40 and all the engine mounts are done and auto box and shortened driveshaft but that is it.

I am looking forward to doing this car some justice and hope to share my progress and get helpful advice... plus also source parts from time to time.

Here is a pick of my son helping pick up the car... Cheers

Welcome to the forums Bloodyaussie,

Good to have you with us.

You will need two of our model forums. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/m...40-daimler-61/ to the MKI / MKII S type 240 340 & Daimler forum and this one https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj40-xj81-25/ to the XJ40 forum for help, advice and information. The 'sticky' threads at the top of each are a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Australia - Victoria / Tasmania Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...a-tasmania-94/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Good luck with your project and enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome to the Forums.

AJ6 into Series3 I know of, and a V12 into a MK2, but yours is different and VERY sensible to my thinking.

Good luck.
