G'day from Oz!
Hi all,
Greetings from Far North Queensland, Australia. Over the last few years I've sold off my American cars in order to clear the decks and have a break from old cars for a while. I had never really considered a Jag however have developed a bit of an interest in the later X308 models, and especially the XJR.
I've been reading up on the various issues with these models and hope to learn a fair bit more from the forum.
Thanks for having me along!
Cheers,
Russ

Thanks Grant,
Yes mate it's 'steady as she goes' for me. I've never had anything to do with European cars however I guess there's always a first time for everything!
Like everybody else I've heard countless horror stories over the years but of course these can be exaggerated by all and sundry.
I'm more than happy to sit back and learn as much as I can before taking the plunge, so am in no hurry.
I do like the XJR but I'd need to be comfortable with the previous history before shelling out the hard earned. Maybe an XJ8 with a solid owner/service history might be a better bet, but for the moment I'm happy to browse and learn.
Cheers mate,
Russ.
