Default Gearbox Fault Light, Slow Acceleration, CEL.

Okay so I have a 2003 X-TYPE Jaguar and the gear box fault light is on and so is the CEL. The car still drives, I can drive at high speeds but it takes some time to even get up to speed. It accelerates slowly. I can sit at a stop light with my foot off the brake and the car won't move and if I hit the gas too hard, you can feel a "clunk" from under the car. I'm guessing the car is in safe mode and is keeping me stuck in 4th gear when it's in drive. I also don't have cruise control now because of it. I've read so many forums and I can't seem to figure out what's going on with my car. And my parking sensors aren't audable anymore either. Not sure if related or not. Checked TCM, no water damage what so ever. Checked for vacuum leaks but I can't hear any hissing from under the hood. I have a few codes that my Bluetooth OBD2 reader gave me and those codes are
P0420
P0430
P0442
P0171
P0174
P1643
P1000

Welcome to the forum William,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The P1000 confirms the OnBoard Monitoring Tests have not completed since the last memory clear; P01171 and P0174 indicate Bank 1 and Bank 2 are too lean; P0420 and P0430 are Bank 1 and Bank 2 Cat issues; P0442 is an EVAP system leak and P1643 is a CAN ECM/TCM network fault.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You don't show City/State details in Location so I can't give you a loink to the relevant Region forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Thanks for all the welcoming messages! I'm new to the forums, figured I'd be able to figure out my car problems by reading other forums but now it's to the point I had to join to get answers for myself. Does anyone know a way to possible fix all these issues? I'm a hands on type of person so any DIYs would be great.

Follow my link in post #2 to the X-Type forum and ask your questions there. Members with the same model will be able to help.
