Getting the itch again .....
Started my Jag adventures with a 1966 Series 1 E-Type in 1970. Should have kept it. Then in about 1987, a Series 3 E-type. Should have kept it. In 1990 we got an XJ6. So unreliable we swore we'd never get another Jag. Went through 3 Ferraris, a ZO6 Corvette, a 997 Porsche and now down to just the E350 Benz.
Then last week I went to a local sports car club car show. Saw an XK8. Almost wet myself .... it is drop dead gorgeous.
So I joined this forum, downloaded a bunch of tech information (I'm a retired automotive engineer) and am happy to learn that Jaguar got reliability religion in the Ford days.
I'm on the hunt for a 2003-06 XK8 Coupe (not XKR .... don't need the extra complication). Dark color preferred.
I thought I couldn't live without a manual transmission, but from what I read the ZF 6-speed is quite good. Are the down-shift rev matches pretty good?
Looking forward to learning from the folks on this forum. When I'm looking to join a forum, one of my criteria is a lot of daily postings and a lot of technical discussion. Happily I see that here.

Hey Ken,
Big welcome to the jaguarforums! Come join us in the XK8/XKR section, there's a great bunch of friendly and knowledgeable members there who will be only too happy to share their thoughts and tips with you. The model year coupe you're looking for is a gorgeous car, someday I might be out there looking for the same. For now, I'm greatly enjoying my convertible.
