Go Badgers
Hi everyone,
I'm a new guy from the Badger state of Wisconsin. Well it was a good year here for basketball anyway but not my jag.
I have an 87 XJS and spending some time this summer pulling the heads... if I can and replacing gaskets and chains. So far I've gotten one head off and still working on the second.
Any words of advice will certainly help. I'm starting to think it may have been easier to put a 350 in it but I really like the heritage of the V12.
Thanks,
Mark

Welcome to the forum Mark,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the XJS tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
For cylinder head removal, have you seen the advice in Kirby Palm's 'Experience in a Book'?
You can also visit the USA Mid West Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-mid-west-il-ia-mi-mn-mo-oh-wi-39/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
