Hello all!
As a new member of this forum, I’ve dropped by here to introduce myself.
My name is Dave. I was born and raised in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, England. I worked for 23 years as an aircraft technician in the Royal Air Force, a job that took me to many interesting places around the world and several places I never want to ever see again. On leaving the RAF I settled in Northern Scotland and entered the oil and gas industry. Three years ago, whist working, I met a nice Dutch girl. So most the time that I’m not offshore I reside in Zeeland, Southern Netherlands. I’m currently posting from a pipelay vessel in Campos Basin, off the coast of Brazil, where I have been working 5 weeks on/5 weeks off for the last two years. I have recently purchased an X306 XJR MY95 to use as my Dutch daily driver (replacing a soulless Mercedes W220 S-class). My Jaguar has had a very pampered existence (so far). It has covered less than 50,000 miles since new, yet has a full main dealer service history, serviced annually – sometimes having covered less than 1000 miles since the previous visit. The car had spent the last 13 years in a private collection in Italy before being given yet another inspection and full service and sold to me. It’s very nice!
Too long, didn’t read?
