Default great forum advice, have learned to do many repairs

thanks to this forum,i have learned to do quite a lot of my own repair work, when i asked my mechanic,"why is there a ratteling noise on startup",he replied,All jags do that",thats when i started to research for advice, and found,"jaguar forums".I learned about how to replace chain tensioner pistion, and did the work myself, now the rattle is gone, also learned how to replace shocks, cps, egr, maf, modify snorkel intake, master cylinder,02 sensors, sway bar bushings, upper and lower ball joints, all suspension bushings, so thank you very much for all the good information,my car is running so much better now,and at a fraction of the cost if i had taken it to a repair shop.

Well, Good for you, Michael!
Doesn't it give you such a feeling of accomplishment when you're successful at things like that! Your car appreciates all that TLC too, and will reward you with many thousands of miles of trouble free driving.

EDIT:
As Grant says, make notes somewhere so you can find them "next time." There's Always a next time, even if it's only for the next owner.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Michael,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums and to hear you've already found useful advice.

I can see you've already posted in the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
