Default Greeting to all; Jeff here, Seattle, 2010 XKR Convertible

Great to see all the information in the forum. Thanks in advance!

After monitoring several major USA sales web sites for a month or so I flew to Sarasota Florida, purchased 2010 XKR CPO from a private party. It was a lease return to Wilde Jaguar in Sarasota, purchased by the seller, then by me (third owner). I shipped it back 3600 miles on enclosed carrier truck to my home in Sammamish WA, an eastern suburb of Seattle Washington USA.

This is my first Jaguar. I owned some BMWs over the years -- a couple of mid 80's E30 325's , then a 1991 E34 M5 which was my dream car when I bought it back in 92 and was my daily driver for 21 years and 220K miles before timing chain slip. Still ran. Multiple offers in 6 hours on Craigslist and sold to a kid BORN in 1991 :-). So I bought a practical daily driver (Used 2010 Honda CRV EX-L 4WD).

I had admired XK's from afar for many years and after examining a 2010 XKR up close this fall, and investigating the spec's of the >2010 XKR, it sort of got my 'dream car' juices flowing again. Though this time I am co-owner of the XKR with my fiancée

Default How could I forget to mention my FIRST convertible!?

Oh my, how could I forget my beloved 1976 Fiat Spider 124 convertible!?!?

My daily driver, driven into the ground from 1978 to 1986. That was a very difficult car to keep running. Ended up in a guy's back yard with several others that were being parted out.

A sad end in the eyes of some, but you got your money's worth out of it, it wasn't crushed, and it's still useful to others.
