First of all , I hope readers here will take into consideration that english is not my usual language so I want to apologise for writing with some mistakes..


Now let's try to present myself to the Jaguar enthusiasts community :

My given name is Thierry ; I am 51 old and live in western France (French brittany) , close to the city of Brest.I bought a 2001 XJ8 3.2L (emerald green) 8 months ago and have been driving her for 6500 miles till now (approx. 10.000kms)



I made some servicing such as changing the front absorbers & some bushes,front brake disks removing the old plastic thermostat housing by a new one (alloy),new spark plugs,belt, water pump..

I'm actually encountering an orange check engine light on ; I made a scan with an OBD2 and get a P0430 error code.

My car as no signs of failure when drove inspite of this light turned on the panel.

This is the second time this default is coming. The 1st time the check engine light went of by itself so I could not get any information about.

Could I ask for some information about this P0430 default code ?

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
