Greetings!
As a new member I posted this earlier then found that I had posted only in the S Type forum. Not wanting to slight others and aware that all enthusiasts could have significant input, I decided to post it in the New Member Area.
I recently purchased a new to me 2005 Jaguar S Type 4.2 with 80K miles. Both the previous owner and a good friend that is currently on the Forum suggested that I check it out and possibly join. After lurking on the site for a short time I decided that their suggestions were valid and thought that I should introduce myself before posting any questions/starting any threads. I reside in Ferndale, MI [1st burb out of Detroit along the infamous Woodward Ave.] I must admit that after my first thousand miles I am still smitten with the vehicle and am glad that I took my friends advice and went for the 4.2 [he actually suggested the R but that's another story]. I've been a fan of European cars and motorcycles for quite some time and have owned a number of brands but this is my first Jaguar [I did have a Sterling which to my understanding shared OEM interior suppliers at the time].
Looking forward to asking a couple of questions,
Gerry Radimaker

Welcome to the forum Gerry,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
As you've already found your way to the S-Type tech forum, there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the USA Mid West Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-mid-west-il-ia-mi-mn-mo-oh-wi-39/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
