I am a new member from ct. to this forum and have enjoyed and learned from past posts viewed. My reason for being here is a 1999 red XK8 conv. w/45k which i have owned for over 3 years and enjoyed the heck out of her with only one problem which was solved by installing a repair hose end kit for the conv. top, which at the time was less time consuming then ripping out the interior to replace the lines. As an offshore angler, most all share info on location, water temp. lure colors and so on on forums much like this wherewe all benefit. Look forward to sharing experiances, info, and questions with others. Thanks

Welcome kahuna. Sounds like you have had pretty good luck with the xk so far in your 3 years of ownership, that's the way it should be. It actually makes me feel better when I have to pay a large repair bill once in awhile...like it's a sacrifice I must make to keep the car happy. twisted I know. Didn't the '99s have salsa red exterior, or is yours the popular carnival red?
Good luck with that heater hose replacement, sounds pretty straightforward.

Thanks All for the welcoming.
Hey h2oboy its the popular carnival red, myself not thrilled with high repair bills, to many other things to take care of, but get a nice sense of acomplishment when throwing time at something you enjoy. My heater hose issue seems easy enough except for getting access to one end of the hose oh well, just keep plugging along.
Thanks
