Default Greetings all, new Jaguar owner in Alberta Canada

I just bought a new to me 1999 XJ8 Vandan Plas, my first Jaguar. While I am absolutely eating crow on the Corvette forum for my purchase, I do like the car so far, and am now looking for info on tires, rims etc.

I'm also as I said a corvette owner, ford fan and have owned over 100 vehicles in the 30 years I have been driving.

Nice site, I hope I can contribute in some way.

Ken

Thanks Norri, it was a little dry, but they will get over it.

And, just like that I am no longer a jag owner. A buddy of mine had to have it, so it is gone.

I do like the cars, may have to see if I can find a nice 2 door vert to go with my vette.

Thanks for the help, guys!

Hi Ken from a fellow Canadian and Corvette owner, I've got a C3. The guys over on CF (in general) give all Corvette owners a bad name so don't listen to their whining.

The regulars here like all cars of all types (within limits) as you'll see, a very different and refreshing attitude.

Thanks Mikey!

Ya, they are.....'special' there arent they?

I spent most of my time in the 1997-03 XJ8 forum, because that is what I had, but I like the atmosphere, like the people here, much more laid back and easier going.

I will miss the Jag I am sure, but may get another.

Welcome to the forum.

Good to see you.

Well that was a short ownership.

Post up some pics of the Vette's. We don't get to see too many.

Welcome! You drive everywhere in that corvette! How tall are you? By your pics you look about 6'+ and I was always under the impression tall people don't fit well in corvettes.

Sweet pictures though, and im sure you'll be back.

Thanks Bryce.

I am just over 6'5", 6'7 with boots lol

That is the reason I got a convertible, there is a plastic bolster in the coupes that I can not get my head under. In the vert there is amazing room.
