Greetings from Berlin
Hi,
I wrenched this 12-cylindered beauty from the hands of a clueless dealer in Germany. Apparently it once belonged to a famous British botanist/petrolhead who was frequently on TV in the 70s/80s and has since fallen out of favour because of his his views on melting glaciers.
It's a 91 V12 5.3. Just needs a little tidying up and a full service, all the mechanical issues are sorted. Drives beautifully.
Cheers
Paul

Thanks Jim for upgrading me.
Thanks too Richard.
The dealer brought it over to West Germany from London on German 5-day plates (normally used when cars change hands or if you need to take a de-registered car to the test centre) in June 2011. I bought it in January and had it delivered to Berlin by trailer (otherwise I would have had to get winter tyres). It still had an MOT until May so my insurance company, a specialist for classics, let me insure it on the British plates for the journey to the test centre in Berlin. Luckily on the way there was a stretch of autobahn without speed limit so I could give it a good run.
Cheers
