Default Greetings from Columbia, SC

Just treated myself to this 2002 X-Type Sport 3.0 with a manual gearbox, sat nav and only 39000 miles. Merry Christmas to me! I don't even have it yet - it should be here Sunday or Monday.

I'll post some decent pictures once it gets here. The avatar picture is from the dealer website that I bought it from.

Car arrived Sunday evening about 9pm safe and sound. Unfortunately it was on the very back of the car carrier on the bottom (I was his first stop) and the driver had to come through some terrible weather on I95 in Virginia and North Carolina - needless to say it was a filthy mess. I cleaned enough of the crap off of the windows and headlights so I could see where I was going, but it has been so cold I haven't been able to do much else.

Some nice surprises that weren't on the dealer website I bought it from - sunroof, six cd changer in the trunk, both keys, all the handbooks in the glove compartment and xenon headlights.

Here's hoping it warms up a bit for the weekend so I can clean it properly.

Life is good!!

Holy crap! this is a tough crowd!!

Okay, so I froze my a** off this evening washing the car - the water was freezing on the car as I tried to dry it off but boy am I glad I did. The BRG is a great color with the light colored leather. The previous owner was obviously as **** about their cars as I am. There isn't a mark on this car anywhere. You hear horror stories of people buying vehicles online sight unseen, but this has been great for me.

I posted a couple of pictures from the dealer website, but I'll add more at the weekend.

Thanks

Welcome. I bought mine online too and it has turned out to be a great car. It is also a sport model that the PO treated well. It even has the mesh grille already added. I love it. Now that it's getting colder, make sure you get that shaft greased or it will sing when it's cold.
