Hello Jag-Lovers,
I am a new addition to this forum. Name is Horst and I live in Germany Frankfurt area. Thing is that I been driving multiple BMWs and Audis and two Lexus in last 25y. Including a much loved A8 2009 - "Transporter" version. Always had two cars - one for business and one for "no roof" fun.
I was stunned when the F-Type convertible was introduced to the market. Finally I could not resist and did get one. Hint: if you want to buy a convertible do it in the late afternoon on the last day of the year just before Christmas break - you may get a good deal.
I enjoy every moment I drive this car. Also did test drive the 550 HP version on the famous "Nuernburgring" race track. For me it is a too aggressive and front heavy beast - like the 6 cly version more.
Meanwhile I had some change in life style and family situation and you simply can not put a Mountain Bike in an A8 trunk (unless you use a good steel saw). The quality of my F-Type (lets ignore the nav and entertainment system for the moment) and the good service of my dealer did make the difference. So I now also enjoy driving my XF Sportbreak 3.0 S big time. Like the design, comfort and the sportscar DNA in combination with 600NM torque. An the Mountain Bike can be carried fast in one piece too..
I have become a bit new gen Jag crazy as you can see. Classic German behavior -> if you have decided for a change you very consequently go for it.
Thanks for listening to my story - look forward to our interaction
