Default Greetings from Lithuania

I'm from Lithuania and I have 2013 Jaguar XF AWD with that weird engine (V8, but missing two cylinders). I'm no stranger doing all the maintenance, diagnostics and repairs myself.

For some time my XF was making horrible noises on low speed acceleration or coasting. The sound was similar to front wheel bearing going bad. I even replaced one perfectly good bearing. Note that X250 XF AWD have pressed in front wheel bearings, while the rest of XFs use bearing assembly which is much easier to replace. Lucky me.

Turns out that the front diff was making all those noises. To make matters worse, looks like there is little technical information about Jaguar AWD systems and especially about front diff. Replacing diff bearings was not an option (or was it?). After long mental preparations I committed and replaced the diff with used good one.

It was no easy task as the front subframe have to be dropped to get to the diff. And this is the reason I've joined the forum, to share my experience. I'll make write-up with some photos and tips. I hope it'll be useful.
