Default Greetings from Nashville

New Jaguar forums member and first time Jag owner

After doing my research I have done what many may say is outright crazy... bought a X type.

Not only that, bought an introductory year X type

Not only that bought a high mileage (just over 100,000) X Type

I figured if it made it through the 30-80,000 mile transmission or engine failure prone period I may have gotten a good one.

I did take it to Jag (Thoroughbred here in Nashville) and there were no stored fault codes, the dealer network service history for the extended warranty period (that is now expired) had been up to date. There are no leaks and she does not smoke.

Fingers crossed LOL

Hello Rick and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules.

Be patient and enjoy the site.

Welcome, Rick. What year is your X-Type? If you have maint. records to show that it's been well maintained, you should feel pretty good.
