Greetings from NC
Hello All,
I've just signed up for the forums and look forward to sharing knowledge, stories, and adventures with you lot. I've recently purchased another Jaguar after going a year or so without - the bug finally caught back up to me! She's a 2000 XJR, black, and despite my previous and admitted prejudice against post-S3 XJs, I'm already madly in love. Now if I can only find a dipstick so I can swap out the transmission fluid ...
A series of unfortunate events and pending move forced me to sell two beloved Jaguars last year. Three months after I overhauled the cylinder head on my '85 XJ6 VDP, the head gasket blew at highway speeds. A week later I ran my '91 XJS underneath the rear-end of a car on the same road, scratching her bumper slightly but demolishing the brightwork, hood, and bumper on mine.
Now that I'm all settled in at the new place, however, I decided it was time to start rebuilding the stable. Enter the XJR. She has a few minor problems that I intend on taking care of in addition to a major service. It's exciting being back behind he wheel of such an incredible machine, and I thank y'all in advance for the wealth of knowledge these forums have to offer.
