Greetings from a new member in Dallas!
This is my first thread as a new member! We are the proud owners of an XKE Series 1 1966 since 1968 and previously just sold our 1997 XK8. My father has been passionate about Jaguars for over 40 years, and I remember going to Jaguar shows when I was young. I recall being told many times "DON'T touch the cars"! I fondly remember riding in the back (I don't know how I fit!) of his XKE enjoying the Jaguar club's "scavenger hunts" for various items along the road.
We have a tremendous number of excess Jaguar parts (more XK8 than XKE). As I've been trying to liquidate his collection of Jaguar parts through eBay, I stumbled across this site and found some of threads very helpful with incredible detailed technical knowledge. I have a profound respect for those who really understand the technical aspects of a Jaguar! I have also met some very interesting Jaguar owners, too - classy and unique like the cars. This site has been helpful for me from a technical standpoint as I continue the liquidation...so THANK YOU to those techies out there!
My father would be embarrassed that I had no idea what a throttle body looked like; however now, I believe he would be proud!
I look forward to being part of this forum. Thank you and enjoy your Jaguar!

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.
One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
