Hello all, I have to admit I've been a "lurker' to the site for a while. Lots of great info on the site. Decided to come out of the shadows and join the forum. Looking forward to being a part of it all.
Last year I purchased a 1991 XJS convertable "Classic Collection" with the 5.3L V12. I've restored other vehicles, cars and motorcycles in the past but this is my first Jaguar. The car is in good shape overall, with the usual areas of neglect to be addressed including some rust.
Current Projects:
1. Replacing damaged exhaust.
2. Repairing inop electric cooling fan.
3. Rebuilding leaking power steering rack.
Of course lots of other "small" jobs to do as well.
Best Regards,
Dave

Dave - no doubt - actually was hoping to hit Charlotte this weekend for the Jaguar Alive Driving Experience but my daughter wants to tour college campuses. When were you stationed here? USN brought me to Chsn in '88 spending time between CNSYD and WEPSTA with a few deployments thrown in the mix

Steve,
Well, I have 26 years active and reserve USN time. Was in Chsn 2005-2010. Then deployed for the last time to the Middle East in 2011. Been home a year now and will finally (so my wife says) retire this year.
Good luck with the college thing, my daughter went to Radford up in South western VA. Very nice school, small town atmosphere. She's now up in the Wash DC area. Big city, fast pace. They grow up fast...
Take care and enjoy!
