Default Greetings for new XJ40 Owner - Australia

Greetings to all on the Jaguar Forum,

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself having recently picked up a 1989 build 3.6L XJ40...

Have been looking for a "nice, clean, well sorted" example for a while and also one at a decent price.... obviously a 4.0L post 1990 model would have been preferable but none could be found at a price that matched the budget!

Found this one in Coffs Harbour (500klms north of Sydney)..... just a nice clean, gun barrel straight 3 owner car with complete and detailed service history (from day one) a genuine 140,000 klms and everything works.. from the sun roof to the air con to all four doors, cruise control and the dash ... yep even all the notoriously unreliable gauges and the VCM; oh and the leather and veneers are all in nice unblemished condition also...

Drove it home and it didn't miss a beat.. threw a set of imperial (15") rims on it with decent tires and gave it a wash and here it is.... so far so good... look forward to being a part of this exceptional forum and community..
