Greetings from NZ
Hi All. First time Jag owner. Have an 06 X type 2.0 that I just love. Had a P1647 code after about 2 weeks. Have replaced the upstream O2 sensor. CEL will come on shortly after start. Clear the code and light goes away for thr trip only to return next time i start up. Any ideas? I have searched on the forum for a solution and apologies if this isnt the right area

Welcome to the forums Ian,
Here's the extract from the Jaguar DTC lookup for P1647:
The reason the code comes back is you haven't fixed the cause. Of the 3 possible causes, Sensor failure can be discounted because you have replaced the Sensor. It's always possible to get a faulty new component but odds are against that. ECM failure can be discounted because there would be a long list of other codes and the vehicle would be unlikely to start. This leaves a harness/connector fault.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the New Zealand Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/new-zealand-97/ to find other members in your region.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.

You may not be able to see this feature but if I click on a member's username, a drop down list opens with a option to View Public Profile - Statistics. This is what I see for you:
Shows your Last Activity as my Time Zone (GMT). I used the same feature to check the date for Ian Quintal.
