Before I introduce myself I would like to thank the admins, the folks responsible for this site and the community for the wealth of information contained herein.

Leading up to the purchase of a pre-owned 2011 XJL, this was my number one resource.

Not only did the forum help me finalize my decision about purchasing this car, but also provided me the insight to understand the history of the model and helped me speak intelligently about it with the dealer selling it to me.

Not sure if I fit the demographic targeted by Jaguar, I'm 28. My first car was a 1993 Honda Civic, a hand-me-down which I'm still grateful for until this day.

Due to an accident which totalled the Honda I was "forced" into a 1995 Ford Mustang which I truly enjoyed, but was impractical, not at the time just when I got married and started thinking about kids.

I then bought my first new car, a fully-loaded 2007 Honda Accord EX-L, which I turned in yesterday for the 2011 Jaguar XJL that is sitting on my driveway.

As you can see, this is my first foray into the luxury segment which I decided to proceed cautiously by buying pre-owned and not at full price. I test drove the 550i, 750i, E-Class and the CLS. However, the car that won me over was the Jag.

In my opinion, the luxury and the performance you get for the money is unparalleled.

I apologize for the long introduction, but thought I would provide a bit about myself as I begin to form part of this great online community.

I don't know about you all, but I don't think I have ever been as excited about a car as I am about this one. I look forward to getting to know all of you and to share our experiences with these amazing cars.

I've been driving the car quite a bit and absolutely love it. It's got its little quirks, but that's what this great forum is about. Sharing our experiences with our cars. Let's see if I can spend some more time here.
