Greetings from Thailand
Greetings from Thailand to all Jag nut jobs.
Around 20 years ago I owned a Daimler 250 1967/68 - lovely. After which I had a variety of exotic heaps - but I had been infected with the Jag thing.
A Benz is better, Citroens are more fascinating, Alfas are sexier and a Rolls, Caddie or Lincoln has more gravitas - but a Jag gives pleasure and that's why I just bought another one.
An XJ6 3.2 1992.
A good looker, pale steel blue metallic, straight and clean. Lot of bits and pieces to get right - already did the box, replace expansion tank, front end bushes and there's a list of other things.
Jags are uber expensive in Thailand - they are quite rare and considered special - Rolls status. But practical folk here are generally scared of them. Most mechanics won't touch them. But everyone admires them.
Mercs are all over the place - you can buy parts and get them fixed around the corner from where you live - no matter where you live. I've got a 500 SEL - a reliable grunter in tip top condition - a giant padded box.
I've very much enjoyed and have already been helped reading the posts here and look forward to conversing in the future with this group.
Warm regards,
Christopher D
