Default Greetings & thanks from Los Angeles

Hello all,

New member from Southern California here. I bought a beautiful 2011 XJ-L last month. Unfortunately it's been sitting in a dealership service garage for 3 weeks, waiting for a new infotainment touch screen, which is back ordered with "no ETA."

Looking forward to participating in the forums, and thank you! - Jim.

Welcome to the forum Jim,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.

A 'no ETA' is far from satisfactory. We have a member on the forum from Jaguar CRC (Customer Relationship Centre) in the UK who may be able to provide further information on the delivery date for the touch screen. Post back here if you want contact details.

Follow this link XJ ( X351 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X351 section for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the US Western Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/w...t-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Thanks very much for the kind welcome, Graham! If you wouldn't mind, I would love the contact information, please. While the dealer has been very kind and helpful, the lack of an ETA makes it difficult to plan.

The touchscreen was working well upon purchase, but I did notice that it "rebooted" every day at random intervals. During the 30K service, they flashed an update to the screen and "killed it" according to them. Since then (July 25th), the XJ sits idle in the bay, awaiting a warranty replacement screen.

What's troubling is that it feeds into the negative impression of Jaguar quality - I've been fairly defensive when colleagues comment that my XJ is nice but Jaguar has bad quality. But right now, they're getting the last laugh. Hopefully they can recurse the supply chain and determine when the supplier can deliver the screen and get my beautiful XJ back on the road!

Thank you very much & have a great week! - Jim.

Jim,

It's Mike Cotter at Jaguar Land Rover in Coventry, UK. Mike has been very helpful to a number of members who have been unable to make progress through their dealer.

Follow this link:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...lations-95705/

If you post details of the touch screen issue in that thread, I'm sure Mike will pick up on it.
