Default Hallo from a new Jag fan from Sweden

Hi, just want to introduce my self properly, been here for some time and made a couple of post witch had been helpfull, so i guess you will se more from me, hopefully i can give little something back over time.

Now Jaguar is really new to me, bought my first 1 year ago ist just 18 years old, now we have 3 and i really didn't se me as Jaguar fan material, been through tons of BMW and thought that was who i was from a car perspective and moved on to Porsche witch seams kind of naturel, so how did that happened ?

Well, we needed an extra car last year, just to get around locally when the family bus was out, purchased this X300 with quite a lot of milage on, even more that we normally would have accepted and alle the stories about Jaguar and running stabilities, well from what i have heard not a wise choice, anyone with any knowlege to us knows, thats how we like it. But the best love stories has never been about sensible choices right ?

This X300 started to amaze me from the very beginning the feel and the ride, so far from what i have been riding before and we make trackdays for a living so you can imagine, what we are used to. But this car was just a blessing to ride, no noise, smell, just White Snake playing from the stereo, no need to turn it up as speed increases, just an absolute pleasure.

I'l even started considering using it for my everyday drive, when i spottet oil on my garage floor ! I know a JAG dont leak, just marking, right :-), well not in my garage, so of to a specialist, short story main gasket, price same as the car cost me. Sins then no oil on the floor and no oil use either, can you imagine that :-)

A friend told me now you se and you can never use a Jaguar every day, well try to tell me that there is something that i can't do and you will se....

So its my daily drive now, this is a car that has no service history, to my knowlege done well over 200.000 km and i love every km in it, how about that!

I have used it for 1 year as my daily driver with no problems at all not even oil use, it just run. So yes you can use an XJ everyday even an old one, well i considering selling it to try out an XJ40 for daily driver, just to se if it will work out. But then my oldes daughter at 12 years starting crying. Then we said to her, (she gets like this almost every time we sell a car, kind of annoying) get your own and then se found a XJ40 in really bad shape she made me pick up for her. She want to restore that one for her 18th birthday, i will introduce her and the product here later, she need a lot of help, but if she pulles it of its going to be an amazing story.

That sets of her brother 16 years and now he got him self a XJ40 XJR, he had a little more money saved up then his sister.

So with in 1 year there is 3 old XJ's here now and i think we love them :-)

So maybe we can tell som great JAG stories over time. Actually i had mine on a racetrack, its not bad there either ....

JIMC64: I dont think there is a Local Swedish forum, might be me looking searching wrong, unless you mean Locally Europe ?

Or maybe we could do one Scandinavian forum, everyone understands each other even if it is technical 3 different language.
