New member. Good site! I've owned this '96 xj6 for 10+ years. Its been a great car, very reliable and trouble-free. I was a mechanic years ago and still do most of my own work. The only things I don't like about owning this car are some jag parts are hard to find, the factory shop manual isn't very good and I can't find any aftermarket manuals for it. Love driving the car.

I feel as others do, you are in the right place especially as the XJ6 is a Lovely refined car and has many admirers! It's also a high tribute to pay for a mechanical view on this as I humbly am not so gifted and therefore I admire your words and the guys here will appreciate them too! regarding add-ons and manuals you will find a very interesting agenda here as everyone has their own take on what looks good and works!!
I am sure you don't need advice but the cross section of differing opinions and the ultimately respectful banter here will assure you you've landed safely and I wish you good luck and a interesting time here, I am sure all the memebers will want to congratulate you on your chosen mission and I wish you well, it has to be a Jaguar for me so I will want to see your fine specimen at some point along the way so feel free to post pictures and above all have fun! Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
