Hello
Just a quick hello from a new Jaguar owner.
I have been driving a truck as my winter commuter, and thought it was time to save a little gas. So I sold the truck and a couple days later I bought my 05 x-type. The only requirements I had for my replacement car was AWD, four doors, and a manual transmission.
Well, at least those were the only ones I started my search with. After driving countless subaru's, audi's, volvo's, and a few domestic ones, I realized that I was really liking the grill on the x-type. Yep, afraid that was the deciding factor... I know, I'm easy.
But I'm glad I have it, definitely is a blast to drive. And we've had a few icy days here in Salt Lake City already and I've got to admit it handles better than I expected. I never took my truck offroad (and God willing, the car won't end up off road either!) but I think I had the impression that cars < trucks when it came to winter driving. I'm glad that has been cleared up for me!
First thing I did after I bought the car was went online to find the largest forum to join. From what I'm seeing, this is a real helpful and knowledgable bunch of folks. I'm happy to be a part of it!

Thanks Jim, I appreciate the upgrade ;-)
I did get some pics taken the other day, and I'll work on uploading them to photopucket or someplace (still getting to know the forum benefits, if there is a picture repository I haven't looked yet... but I am really familiar with the search function lol)
