Default hello

Hi, I am a new member. I own a 1961 3.8,auto.PAS MK2.I bought it in 1994, after it had suffered a fire under the bonnet that spread into the cab, mainly the dash area, the area under the vehicle adjacent to the gearbox and bulkhead area. The interior also suffered smoke damage. And as all jaguars of that age the Tin worm was rampant.
I worked on it until 2003, moved, spent until late this year building my house, just restarted work again.
It had DG auto box, due to cost I obtained a BW65 from an xj ser3.
I also got hold of a 420 front subframe complete, refurbished the frame, new calipers, reconditioned steering box(Original makers still around).
During the many hours that I have spent researching jags of that era I have become aware of the many commonalities between models.
Due to the fire and the substitutions made I have still some problems to overcome,Mainly with routing pipes etc and set ups of important items.
Lots to say but thats enough for now.I also have to learn how to use this forum. As you can see I have dyslexic fingers when it comes to typing. During this entry Ive lost it twice already regards barry
