Default Hello All

New to Jaguar ownership here. I spent a few hours reading the X-Type horror stories just AFTER I picked up a "clean" 2002. I've been the steward of a Land Rover 110 for 10 years now, have gone over everything but the transmission in that time. Needed a quick AWD to keep the Landy out of the salt this Winter and I'm a glutton for punishment Alternating 24" of jacking sides to change transfer case oils, my gods man, how did the Brits conquer half the globe???

Hello,
Congratulations on your new X-type Jaguar! Yours is actually a Forduar you know, as Ford had bought the company before the X-type was built.

Because there were just so many of them looking for better weather. They didn't conquer anywhere cold and wet, did they!

I did realize it was a Forduar, apparently with a Porsche designed, Ford built engine I think? I saw somewhere that there are only 20% Ford parts in the thing. I'd say the engine is more than 20% on it's own...

Thanks all!
