I have been a long time Jaguar owner, some from the showroom and some used. We moved from Fort Lauderdale FL to the beautiful area of Northeast Tennessee. The people are wonderful here.
One of our cars (a 1998 Chamagne XJ8L) is being transported here from Florida tomorrow and I am trying to locate a respectable service person to handle this cat.
I would like to have her repainted and have some minor issues repaired. One year after I bought her, I had a total engine failure (meltdown) and had the Fort Lauderdale dealer install a brand new engine, the $$$ amount was mind boggling...lol. Thank goodness I had a XK8 sitting in my driveway!!! so I was not without transportation. Well like many other posters on here... I have had all of the same issues that have been repaired, ie; throttle body, etc... as you can imagine, I have put over $25,000 bucks in repairs into her and now will never part with her...
Thanks to everbody, what a GREAT and wonderful forum this is.

Joel: Welcome to the Jag Forum--the most helpful bunch of owners of any brand on the internet.
Northeast Tennessee is not just beautiful, it's truly God's country. You will find the people are great storytellers, and they're very quick to tell jokes and laugh. The Tri-Cities is an especially safe area, and you'll not be sorry you left Florida. (My family has a house in a golf/equestrian neighborhood in Banner-Elk--east of you.)
The TriCities is a pretty populated area. I would think Johnson City would be the town to look for import mechanics. Check with the auto parts stores. FYI: One of the best auto electonic module/throttle body rebuilders in the U.S. is in Rogersville--20 miles southwest of Kingsport.
