Default Hello All, New Here

Hello,

My name is John, I recently acquired an 2003 XJ8 and a 1985 XJ6. This is my first experience with Jaguars and so far I am very impressed with the quality. I look forward to meeting everyone and working on the cars. Any suggestions on top-priority known fixes/issues are welcome.

Welcome to the forum John,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow this link XJ XJ8 / XJR ( X308 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 forum and this one https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s-i-ii-iii-16/ to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Thanks, the XJ8 is a world traveler. First owner was in Ohio who took it to Germany, my buddy bought it off him and brought it back to Cali where I bought it. (wife is stationed in California). It needed one new electric fan and a battery. My buddy was sick of messing with it and was planning to send it to the junk yard. I offered him $200 (sight/condition unseen) and he said come get it. Car is pristine, like new, and runs amazing .

I like to think of it as rescuing it from going to the junkyard and being put to sleep.. the $200 was the adoption fee..

You can put a Lot of love into a car for a $200 initial investment! I know people who spend that much on GAS EVERY WEEK!
