Hello all, new here from Chicago
Hello all, I'm new to the forum. Although not new the the jaguar ownership. I have myself a 1998 jaguar xj8. I acquired it from my dad as a gift for graduating from highschool, and being accepted into depaul university. I mention this because I am one of the very, very few in my immediate family of whom have managed to do so. Although it wasn't a complete gift, my father had managed to pay off at least 60-70% of the vehicle when he offered me the challenge before he went in and traded it off for a newer tahoe or yukon; for he is into larger trucks and vans. He only bought the car because it caught his eye. But he never managed to get comfortable in it as I have been the one who bugged him to use it more so than he did. I was away for work purposes for approximately 4-5 years, only two years after having had acquired it. Since then it has been in storage in my garage and has been ever so slightly damaged by my older sister and cousins. Custom car cover has been removed and so on and so forth. I am here to gain knowledge as to how to bring it back up to the state I had left it in upon departure. I hope to use helpful tips as how to meet my goal. I have browsed thru some of the postings by many other members and was pleased to read that that there is and abundant amount of users who are extremely helpful. I look forward to gain and use this knowledge that I know I will receive towards my journey into reviving my oh so loved 1998 Jaguar XJ8.

Thanks norri, and yes they can be a pain. It is as they say, "what didn't cost you anything, you could care less for, but what u worked hard for, even the slightest scuff mark will feel as though u just wrecked your car." so could you imagine what I felt when I saw the condition of my car when I returned???
