My name is Mitch, I have owned my '97 XK8 for about 7 years now. I never thought I would own a Jag (i have always been a Porsche guy since I was 18), but am happy to say I have had very few problems with my Jag in 7 years and a total of 170,000 mi. and it has been a very fun daily driver.

Well i didn't say I never have any problems, but much less that i figured I would have. when I was 19 I traded my VW GTI (nice car at the time). for a '70 xke with a ford 302 conversion, wow, was that a nightmare! My relationship with my '97 XK8 has been much more shall we say "civilized". I have had the normal issues with water disrupting the electricals in the engine bay, i have had to change the hydro fluid for the conv top, and change the trans fluid/filter in the zf (btw, ford fluid works fine at 1/9th the cost)
