Enjoying my first few months of Jaguar ownership. Currently have 2 '98 x308 XJRs. One black 87k, mushroom int and one blue 79k.
Been a Porsche enthusiast most my license holding life and owned many models right up to a 997 TT, but new family meant I needed a more family sized car. Considered the usual German machines M5, AMG 6.3, but it was the Jag with the supercharger that really did it for me.
Andy Lowe who is a veteran member and mechanic reassured me all the horror stories you hear are very rare and it's a easy car to live with really convinced me.
Looking forward to speaking to other x308 owners and participating in meets.
Regards
Luke

Hello, Luke,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
Andy is Absolutely Correct! Most of the horror stories come from owners who don't take care of their cars, and so blame the car because it fails somehow. Some people simply shouldn't be allowed to own a Jaguar!
Pretty car, by the way. At first I thought maybe you were in Oz, as the first pictures is upside down! LOL
