Hello from Austin, TX!
We just brought a beautiful 2006 Victory Edition XK8 with just 36K miles home after studying this forum beforehand to know what to expect. I've owned and restored many cars in my 30+ years in the hobby and this one needs nothing but fluid changes (musclecars, VWs, BMWs, Porsches, etc.).
I was a bit surprised to see other Victory Editions here in TX in the intro section, so perhaps there are a disproportionate amount in Texas??? It's a silver shadow convertible...I've got lots of pictures and will post some as soon as I figure out how to do it (or am allowed).

Welcome Texan
Hey DougBoost,
Welcome to the forum. Im sure you'll enjoy your new Jag and all the great info you can get from this site. We will be looking forward to seeing photos of your Victory Edition as soon as you can post them. Yes, there are lots of Jaguars out here. You know things are bigger and better in Texas , and that includes Jag ownership. It seems like there are as many Jags as trees out here. A wise man once said 'you cant swing a dead cat in Texas without hitting a Jag'. I dont know whos going around swinging dead cats, but anyway...... Welcome.

That's very good to know. Didn't see it in the Saturday car section of the Austin American-Statesman...we'll have to plan to be there, especially since the weather has been so good lately (had my '73 Camaro RS Z/28 at the Texas Classic Car Show last weekend).
