Been lurking on here for awhile and wanted to post a proper introduction. My name's Devon, and I'm from AZ. I drive a Jaguar XJ6 with a little more than 170,000 miles on the odometer now. It's in great shape, even though it's just barely older than I am!
I actually bought the car from my Dad (another poster on here, I'm sure you vets may know of him!), and he's the reason it runs as well as it does. I'm in the process of learning about these cars and how to work on them and such. It's such a pleasure to drive and fairly easy to work on as well!
Here's a pic of my Jag. Love the X300 body style.
Another pic from the other side. Looks kind of funny with only one growler cap. Gotta get a new one for the RF.
In the past year, Dad & I have replaced the harmonic balancer on the car, resprayed the hood (even though it's beginning to flake off in some sections due to the sun, I assume), and pretty much played musical chairs with tires (he has a '95 XJ12). I've been trying to deal with a huge gash in the driver's side bolster in the seat, but adhesives don't last in the sun. I simply threw a seat cover over it for the time being, and it matches the interior surprisingly well!
Anyways, it's great to be here! I look forward to posting more and interacting with you all.
Hello, Devon,
Congratulations, even though you've been tinkering with this car for a while. Now it's Yours!
The sun is Very hard on interiors and finishes, especially darkish colors like yours, that show every flaw. You might want to consider keeping it under some sort of cover.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
I'm so glad to see you joining here. You might be hooked! Also you will learn a huge amount about the X300, like I did (or you could just ask me, lol).
Sometimes I miss the XJ6, it sure is nice to have it bring you home occasionally, and to ride in and drive it.
Now we are a Jag family, like some other forum members. "Aholbro" (that's Zane in TX) has I believe 3 X300s now, two of which his sons drive. There are many others. Consider yourself lucky that you get to own one of these at your age. I had to wait until I was 40 before I could get one! Also good to have some youthful "culture" here.
