Default Hello from Belgium...

Hi everybody,

Here's a new jag owner (albeit long time car enthousiast), from Belgium.

Just acquired a 1997 XJ6 from a police auction, doesn't run and comes without papers, but is overall in a very nice condition.

Needs wash and polish, some basic maintenance, paperwork done, and then we'll do some runs to see what else needs to be done.

As she's quite dirty for the time being (just got her yesterday!), here's some pics from the auction:

Looking forward to gain some specific jag related trivia knowledge, and happy to share some general experience that comes from years of tinkering with vauxhalls...

Still have some technical questions for the time being, but I'll post those in the tech forum.

But as you can see from the pics, she's in a quite nice condition...

I hope there won't be too much problems, but either way I'll do my best to sort those out. Would really love to drive this car on some nice journeys...

Hi,

thanks for the kind words.
I hope my sig is visible to you, and contains the most necessary details?

Question:
I already posted in the tech forum that you linked to ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...thread-163379/ ), but my latest reply wasn't accepted. Is this still lingering around somewhere in the digital world and could you re-activate it, or should I type it again? Or am I not allowed to post there until I have finished my "probation" period?

Your Signature is visible and contains the relevant details. Signature changes appear with the next post - not immediately. This is why you thought it hadn't worked.

I've checked the linked thread and this is the last post in it from you:

Hello from Belgium...-kingnero.jpg

If you have tried posting a later one, it's not there so you should post it again.

That's the post I am talking about.

I see the above post (from aholbro1) as last post in that thread, my own post does not show up like in your screenshot (and yes, I tried refreshing the page and clearing my browser history, cache and cookies). Still no show...

I can QUOTE your post but it doesn't look right. It has a light gray background instead being white like the rest of the posts in the thread:

Hello from Belgium...-kingnero2.jpg

Please try posting it again. If it works properly this time. I'll delete your original post and my TEST posts.

This is what I see... the post before and after, but not my post.
I'll try again... thanks for the screenshot!

I can see you've successfully re-posted in your X300 thread so I've deleted your original problem post and my TEST posts from it.

great, thank you. Not quite as nice as London, but not too shabby either. Plus, we drive at the correct side of the roads, so all in all, we can't complain... :-)

I'm delighted to hear mainland Europe has come into line with us. Essential to drive and ride on the left so the sword arm is facing an oncoming enemy.
