Thanks to all posters. good advice.
Update. Having fully charged the battery I now have power running through to the various circuits. In fact it's all going a bit haywire, lights won't turn off screen washer pump on constantly. I suspect the ECU and immobiliser so I think its a new ECU to start with. Engine wont turn over so again immobiliser? Central lockin works on key onlt to lock but remote will unlock. Onwards and upwards.

The lights and washer constantly on suggests Earth fault.
You need to remove battery negative terminal before doing work really.
So many earth points inside and outside get corrosion on the contacts and need sandpapering fine to bring up smooth metallic finish again on all sides of the contacts, stud and nut, that sandwich them together. Also suggest coating them in dielectric fluid/grease after sanding the corrosion off.
Water penetration to the fuse boxes causing copper oxide to run over multiple fuse lines can also cause mayhem.
Difficult to diagnose and hard to see as the fuse box circuit boards are sandwiched over hiding the main areas that get affected.
But it sounds like lots of work for you, hope you have plenty of time and patience, good luck.
