Default Hello from British Autowood

My name is Saul Chaplin and I moved to Florida from Wales UK back in 1987. As my title suggests, I do restoration work on all British car wood trim, and have done so for 20+ years. I did join this forum a couple of years ago but never formally introduced myself at the time. I'm married and my wife and I have 5 kids ages 2-15 which is a full time job in itself! I also own 2 Jaguars, a 1967 420 (auto) and a 1968 Mk2 340 (manual/od), both of which came with me from Wales all those years back. Anyhow, I hope to find more time to visit this forum in the future! Nice to meet you all! Cheers.

Welcome. Hey, a question. Can you do custom door inserts for XKR to reversibly replace the vinyl/leather/what-have-you in place now and to get a decent match to the dashboard wood?

Thanks.

Hello,
Yes I did make a set of door inserts for a customer with a 2004 about 2 years ago. The photos are on my web site under "dashboards". The match was good - It really depends on how much your wood has aged/yellowed since new.
