Default Hello From Canada

First off a big thanks to Jimc64 for supplying the workshop manuals.
I've been looking for something on-line for a little while now and most of what's out there is just spam.
The Hayes manual covers very little about the brake booster, how to adjust it and there is no exploded diagram.
I've had my 340 for around 17 years and it's been sitting in the garage for 11 of those years _ needless to say the brake system needs an entire overhaul.
I live on a small town (Lake Cowichan) in the Southern part of Vancouver Island. I've been here all my life and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

Hi Jeff and welcome from a fellow Canadian- there's lots of us here with many from BC. Please stop by our dedicated regional section from time to time as per link in my sig.

Post some pics of your 340 when you have a chance. I enjoy seeing the 'ancestors' of my S-type.

Welcome to the forum JeffR1,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've already found the 340 tech section so no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Hey everyone, that was fast, I didn't expect to see any responses that quick. Mikey, I would have to do some digging for some photos _ I think I only have one and it's not digital _ don't know where it is either.
Right now it's got 11 years of dust on it and is up on jack stands.

Hello Jim, yes, will post some pics, even up on jack stands and all in pieces. Thanks for upgrading my status, I will take advantage of it when I have a chance, I have lots of other things on the go too... Other forums, cycling, running etc.
I'll squeeze you in some place.

It's also eating up allot of time sourcing parts, I found it's cheaper to get things out of the UK then it is from the US. For example, David Manner wants £20.83 for one rear disc (rotor) which translates into 30.00$ Canadian (approximately) and £50 to ship two of them to my post office box.
XKS.com wants 59.34 US, which is about the same, as our dollar is almost at par, plus the fact the XKS shipping is slightly more expensive by about 2 bucks, but the discs are almost double even dealing with the British pound.
