Hello from Connecticut USA
Hi All, just wanted to say hello and announce I just joined your ranks as a Jag owner. I have had her about 6 weeks. First week and a half was awesome and now the issues start. I love the car and Jaguar in general so I want to repair as many issues as come up so I may enjoy a great running Jag soon.
I traded a 1982 Goldwing I restored for a 1991 Jag XJ6 Sovereign. White. Lots of Chrome and awfully pretty. Came with a MoMo wooden sterring wheel. I think that sold me alone.
Right after I repair my blown Water pump to Water rail bypass hose I will start writing in with questions about gurgling vapor lock like issues happening after driving about an hour or so. Misfiring through the intake and acting fuel starved but psi holding at 35. Many parts replaced already. Fuel holding steady at 35psi at all times. 30 at idle. Tracking electrical issues now.
New distributor, rotor, wires, plugs and coil. Runs great every time I change something for about 24 to 48 hours then it catches me off guard and I stall. Usually resulting into waiting 30 minutes or so to start up and go again, like nothing happened. In addition I originally changed the fuel filter. Changed the CTS as well and the fuel regulator. Running 93 octance plus Octane boost at every fill up.
Checked for vacuum leaks too but I am too new on this car to find them all. Is there any under the engine to look for. I had a Benz once that ran like this for over a year until I blew the tranny. When I got it back it ran beautiful. The mechanic told me he found a huge vacuum hose disconected when it came in and was surprised it even ran with it off.
Any help is alwasy greatly appreciated.

Congratulations on your 'new' Jaguar!
At least you got a honeymoon before problems started to pop up. It seems that was enough time for the two of you to bond. This will be of great value during repairs to come.
Someone will be along shortly to direct you to the correct section where you can find help.
